Plot Summary:

Violet Weston (Meryl Streep) has disease and an affinity for pills and liquor. She's a troublesome lady to manage and her spouse has at last had enough. Violet's family accumulates including most youthful little girl Ivy, center girl Karen (with her new life partner), eldest little girl Barbara (with her differentiated spouse and teen little girl), and her sister Mattie Fae (with her spouse and child in tow). A family catastrophe causes pressures to run high and insider facts to turn out. The Weston ladies will be compelled to look at themselves and their lives whether they need to or not.
